Why the "innocent" need a lawyer

It is the right and duty of the People to protect and defend their liberty.  The American court-rooms provide Citizens the opportunity to exercise their Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.

"Innocence" is NO protection from the law

Overzealous prosecution and plea bargains have perverted the system.  I believe that Trial by Jury ultimately exonerates the innocent, if the defense is vigorous and the Jury is presented with true facts.

Why Doc cares

Doc has been prosecuted.  He's seen the unseemly side of the justice system and believes that every lawyer has the opportunity to improve the administration of justice by putting the Verdict in the hands of the good American People.
